Open Access Origami
Open Access Origami is a new way to make students aware of the resources available to them via Creative Commons licensing and Open Access (OA) policies. Many institutions have hundreds of thousands of images available, but if we don’t know about them, how will we use them? Open Access Origami promotes the use of digitized collections available for free under these policies and licenses. OA Origami debuted at the Spring 2017 SC&I Career Expo. The cranes, along with special NJ themes, also flew to MARAC’s Spring 2017 meeting held in Newark, NJ. An Open Access Origami Workshop was held at Rutgers in April 2018.
